The study below shows Alcoholic neuropathy is easily reversed by a combination of vitamins and avoiding alcohol. The Vitamins include B12, B-6, B-1 and Folic acid.
. Methods: A multi-centre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted on 325 patients with sensory symptoms and signs of alcoholic polyneuropathy. Patients were randomised to the old formulation (i.e. vitamins B1, B2, B6, and B12), new formulation [B1,B2,B6, B12 with additional folic acid (vitamin B9)], in a 1:1:1 ratio. One tablet of the study medication (new formulation VS old formulation) was taken orally, three times a day, over a 12-week treatment period. Results: Therapeutic efficacy was assessed in 253 patients by measuring vibration perception threshold (biothesiometry), intensity of pain, sensory function, co-ordination, and reflex responses. Patients treated with the new formulation VS old formulation showed significant improvement in the primary efficacy endpoint (vibration perception threshold at the big toe) and secondary efficacy endpoints . Conclusions: A specific vitamin B complex (with and without folic acid) significantly improved symptoms of alcoholic polyneuropathy over a 12-week treatment period.
The conclusion is simple for a alcoholic polyneuropathy stop alcohol intake and take a Folic Acid and a B-complex tablet every day.
For advanced alcoholic neuropathy IVIg can be used along with vitamin
		supplements.Take Vitamin B12 sublingual,
		B-6,
		B-1 (Thiamiane) this will
also help improve memory and use Niacin 100
mg daily try to increase to
500 mg daily. Niacin will improve all anxiety and depression it also
improves the skin, memory and helps the neuropathy, useing Niacin for
the first few days will result in flushing this will go away. Vitamin
B-12 has no side effects can be taken easily, orally taken B-6 has no
side effects, they are only seen when B-6 is injected. Thiamine and
Niacin improve memory and Thiamine has no side effects it also improves
the metabolism of glucose thus improvemnt is seen in diabetic control.
The best exercise for a diabetic polyneuropathy patient is to use a
stationary bicycle and use this daily for 20-30 minutes on zero
		resisitance.

Another benefical device we have noted is a
		TENS unit daily
application results in remarkable improvet in neuropathy and patients
		energy.
